The Dockerfile hardcoded FROM alpine:3.20, so a customer required to run on their own hardened base had to edit it — which breaks the co-sign story in export-containers/BUILD-AND-COSIGN.md, where the whole point is that our binary and their image carry equivalent signatures. Now ARG BASE_IMAGE=alpine:3.20, defaulting to the image we publish so an unmodified build stays byte-comparable with ours. LOAD-AND-RUN.md documents both paths: docker load the prebuilt image from the release zip, or build on your own base and cosign it. |
